Pacific will waive application fees for Concordia students. Undergraduates in good standing at Concordia, as well as accepted incoming undergrads, will be accepted for admission and will qualify for merit scholarships from $12,000 to $24,000 per year.
Capacity Building Program for Study Abroad Grantees Gather at ACTFL 2019
Pacific University has been selected to receive a small grant to support the Global Scholars Program as part of the U.S. Department of State’s 2019 Capacity Building Program for U.S. Study Abroad. Pacific University is one of 21 colleges and universities from across the United States selected from over 120 applications to create, expand, and/or diversify American student mobility overseas in support of foreign policy goals. The Capacity Building Program for U.S. Study Abroad is a program of the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and supported in its implementation by World Learning.

Dr. Fawzy Elbarbry, an associate professor in the university’s School of Pharmacy, will serve as faculty trustee. Chika Matsumoto ’21, an undergraduate exercise science major, will serve as an undergraduate student trustee.

Families of college-age students know very well that a college degree is a big-ticket expense, but they regard it as an important investment in a young person’s future. Pacific University is well aware of this tension and works hard to keep college as affordable as possible.

Here’s something that’s not well known, even among many in the Pacific University community: The Boxers are a force in the world of college handball. The club team, which consists of many athletes who had never played the sport before college, again won the national combined title in 2019, beating teams from such schools as the University of Texas and the University of Illinois.
