Mindfulness
Students registered with the College of Health Professions, plus CHP faculty and staff, are invited to a free eight-week program incorporating mindfulness-based stress reduction, resilience, and mindful communication techniques geared towards health care professionals and students. Register for a Sept. 22 orientation. Classes begin Sept. 30.

M. Samantha Lewis has been promoted to full professor of audiology and granted indefinite tenure by Pacific University, where she is academic education lead in the School of Audiology.

School of Audiology Students Courtney Crespi and Theresa Ravago Mireles  developed the Audi-Buddy program in partnership with Shelby Atwill, AuD, and Tucker Maxon School, an Oregon-based non-profit auditory-verbal school where students who are deaf/hard-of-hearing (DHoH) and students with typical hearing learn together.
David Brown, audiology professor, was a co-author on a research article about people who complain about having hearing loss, but when tested, have normal hearing sensitivity.
