Wid Bleything at Veteran's Day
Willard “Wid” Bleything ’51, OD ’52, MS ’54 earned three degrees from Pacific University on his way to becoming an optometrist. He served in the Air Force and Air Reserves, retiring as a colonel, and he also worked in private practice for many years before eventually returning to Pacific, where he became the dean of the College of Optometry.

Margaret Cooper '51 passed away at home in University Place, WA on Sept. 27, 2019 at the age of 90. During her time at Pacific, Margaret was a member of the Madrigal Singers and the Philo Trio and her love of music carried on throughout her life.
Nora 'Nadine' Stanhope '49, passed away in La Grande, Ore., on June 24 at the age of 93.
Elaine Pritiken Smith '51 died May 6, 2019. 
Jacqueline Ann Reynolds '51 died at home April 24. She was 88.
George Edwin Johnson '51 died April 5, 2019 in Missoula, MT. at the age of 95.
Jacqueline (Harding) Reynolds ’51 died Apr. 24, 2019, at age 88.
Arnold Taylor ’51 died Mar. 20, 2019, at age 93.
