Oregon Optometric Physicians Association Awards Inaugural Scholarships to Pacific Optometry Students
The only professional association for optometry in Oregon, the OOPA recently established the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association Scholarship at Pacific, which has already benefited five current doctor of optometry students.
The NSF announced this month it had awarded Associate Professor Andrew Dawes, physics and a team of undergraduate researchers a third, three-year grant to study quantum optics. “I’m proud we can offer a lab environment with the same cutting-edge equipment you would find at top-tier institutions like Harvard and M.I.T.,” Dawes said.
The most well-known college rankings guide includes Pacific among the top 15 percent of universities in its designated category.
WSJ/THE rankings include less than one-third of all four-year colleges and universities in the U.S., and Pacific is in the 42nd percentile of those ranked.
The games are an international multi-sports event for young athletes with physical disabilities.
