Dickens-Stutzman
Kyle Dickens '16, MHA '19, PharmD '19, and Sarah Stutzman MSW '21 were married June 14, 2020.
Grant and Chris McOmie
We met as freshmen in 1970 and dated each other's roommates and realized we had more to talk about with each other. It certainly worked out as we celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary in 2020.
Bob '08 and Lacy (Todd) Fitzmorris '08
Bob and I met sophomore year when my friend Lauren started dating his friend Jason. Although we had a blast together, we only dated briefly. We remained friends and enjoyed seeing each other when we did, but our lives took vastly different paths. It wasn't until about 10 years later that we reconnected and fell deeply in love. We welcomed our daughter into the world in 2019 and our love rocketed into a new and even more joyous dimension.
Larry and Kathy Wan
Larry and Kathy met in 1977 as freshmen at Pacific University. They had several core classes together, and would often spend time with a group of mutual friends. During their sophomore year, Larry asked Kathy to study for a library skills test that was part of their writing course. They didn’t end up studying at all that evening but that night they began their decades-long relationship.
Scotty, Kaela and friends
Scotty and Kaela's first interaction was in the University Center at Pacific University during football season.
Debbie and Barney
A lost photo reminds two Pacific University alumni of their first time together..
The first week I arrived at Pacific in late summer 1970, I was 18 years old and excited for the opportunity to establish myself as a serious student. My roommate, however, was much more excited about meeting new people (boys) and finding social opportunities (parties).
The Boxer Love story of Shay Singer '14 & Travis George '14 began at Pacific University in Forest Grove. Shay and Travis met days before the end of their freshman year. It was in that summer that they started off on the adventure of a lifetime.
Boxer Love
Renae and Josiah began dating at Rex Putnam high school during their Junior year. When they began looking at colleges, Renae had already fallen in love with Pacific. Josiah didn't want them to base their college decisions off of each other so they kept their decisions a secret until they had both paid their deposits to their respective schools.
Renae and Josiah
Anthony and Janae met at their freshman orientation dance and clicked instantly. They spent the next few days hanging out between his basketball practices and general chemistry homework sessions until Anthony asked Janae if she wanted to be his girlfriend.
