Study the art and business of digital and traditional publishing.

Develop your editorial skills through multidisciplinary courses in Media Arts, English Literature, Creative Writing, Business, and Art. You can gain practical experience by working on student-run publications such as Silk Road Review, the bi-annual literary arts magazine, the Pacific Index newspaper, as well on internal publications such as Pacific Portraits and PLUM: Pacific’s Literature by Undergraduates Magazine.

Gain experience through on- and off-campus internships with Pacific's MFA in writing, Literary Arts, the Oregon Book Awards, and others. Interact with leading editors and publishers in the Portland area through conferences like the Portland Book Festival and Association of Writers & Writing Programs, and roundtable events hosted by the Visiting Writers Series, which recently featured Airlie Press and Forest Avenue Press.
