Learn multiple media skills to be competitive in today’s media job landscape.

Take a wide range of courses in writing, editing, design, video production, integrated media and photography. Students who are skillful in media convergence are poised to meet the demands of the 21st century media landscape. 

Gain expertise in using high-definition cameras and a digital media lab that features graphic design, illustration, web design and digital audio and video production hardware and software. Work with Pacific’s Media Arts Production Services, or produce digital stories for the student run newspaper, The Pacific Index,  to gain practical job experience. Many students take advantage of the opportunity to take media classes on a study abroad for a semester at York St. John University in York, England, that also boasts a robust media course selection.

Enie Vaisburd

Vaisburd teaches courses in film and video production, history, and theory, in the Media Arts Department.

The Kathrin Cawein Gallery of Art proudly presents "The Art of Seeing," a retrospective of Faculty Emeritus Jim Flory’s photographic images. The exhibition, which runs through April 20, spans a lifetime of his love for photography and his passion for teaching it. Join Pacific for a closing reception tomorrow night.

In a remarkable convergence of talent, passion and academic backgrounds, seven Pacific alumni  were among the scores of people who helped make the acclaimed stop-motion film in Portland. The film took about three years to create and was released Dec. 9. It won the Academy Award for best animated film.
