The Exchange server, which handles all employee email, experienced short outages last night and this morning, impacting Outlook, webmail.pacificu.edu and mobile email apps.  Update: All mailboxes are currently accessible.  We still anticipate slowness and lags throughout the day.  Some users may have to close and reopen their email clients.  At this time we are asking people not to send large attachments (or even to send small attachments to groups of people).  People can call the TIC (503-352-150) if they’d like advice on alternate ways to distribute files.
 The third and final candidate for our Director of Human Resources position, Richard Diotati, will be available to meet faculty and staff in the MPR.
Timecards for all Pacific University employees, including student workers, for the month of November must be submitted to Human Resources no later than noon on Wednesday, Nov. 26. Additionally, the new versions of the timecards for non-exempt employees and student employees are to be used beginning this month.
The second of three candidates for our Director of Human Resources position, Kathryn Hoyt, will be available to meet faculty and staff at 3:30 p.m. in Marsh Hall's Taylor Auditorium.
The university would like to get feedback from all students, faculty and staff members who live on the campus, or who commute to it on a regular basis.
Employees whose college aged dependent children will be applying for tuition exchange for the 2015-16 academic year must complete and submit their applications to Human Resources no later than Nov. 30, 2014.
